Based in the sunny Bay Of Plenty, Ngahere Adventures offers a unique horse trekking experience.Ride through the mystic & tranquil beauty of Te Urewera National Park, the homeland of Tuhoe - children of the mist.
Journey along and through the Whakatane River, flanked on both sides by native bush, the natural habitat of NZ birds such as Kiwi, Tui, Koko, Kereru and Kokako. The area is very remote and peaceful, hence our motto “Stress Free and at peace with Nature.”
We will endeavour to cater for all riding abilities, and we provide experienced local Maori guides. (Children under the age of 16years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
Ngahere Adventures is based in Ruatoki, 27kms inland from
Whakatane. Return transport is provided.
